SERVICE FAQ'S
Before your Brazilian waxing appointment:
Please don’t shave prior to your appointment - pubic hair should be approximately 1/4" long (as long as a grain of rice). This is very important to ensure the esthetician's wax can grip the hairs properly.
For concerns about pain/discomfort, you can take a pain reliever (acetaminophen recommended) about 30-60 mins prior to being waxed, or apply an over-the-counter lidocaine cream 15 mins before to minimize sensitivity.
Gently exfoliate the area 1-2 days before your waxing appointment, to prevent ingrown hairs.
If you are on your period on the day of treatment, you can still have intimate area waxing but please know that you may experience increased sensitivity due to hormones.
No rubbing or massaging the injected area for 4 hours after treatment.
Avoid makeup for one day, rubbing the skin may potentially disperse the toxin.
Avoid skin treatments such as facials, massages, exfoliating scrubs or dermal filler.
No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
Keep upright for 4 hours — no lying on your front. Bending or lying down may
spread the toxin and promote bruising.
Avoid headwear that is tightly fitted across the forehead.
Do not have excessive alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours.
Avoid sun exposure for at least 4 hours. The heat can promote flushing and
increase your blood pressure, which may encourage bruising. To be extra safe,
avoid the sun for 24 to 48 hours. It’s also best to avoid other forms of heat
exposure, such as: tanning beds, hot tubs, hot showers/baths (warm water is ok),
sauna.
After getting Botox, it’s typical to have redness, tenderness, and swelling at
injection sites. These side effects usually disappear in 1 day.Bruising is also
common. You can apply a pack of ice for relief. The bruising should go away in
about 2 weeks.
If you notice any of the following effects, seek medical help: muscle weakness,
trouble swallowing, difficulty speaking or breathing, poor bladder control, vision
changes. Although these side effects are rare, they warrant immediate medical
attention.
If you experience any concerning symptoms, please contact Alison at Allure 519-
